How do I do a text box I can type in a PPT slideshow

I have a presentation that makes it look like I am using the internet. Is
there any way I can enter a text box that I can put text in DURING the
presentation so that it looks like I am searching for a term. IE Imagine the
Google page as a screenshot (which is copied into my presentation) and the
next page is the search results screen for "dogs". I want my presentation to
look like I am typing "dogs" into the box (without having to individually
animate every letter to appear).

Tas,
Insert a textbox on the exact spot (use textbox icon on the drawing
toolbar), a click should suffise to place your textbox, then type your text
in the textbox.
Now activate the task pane custom animation. Apply an entrance effect.
Double click on it in the task pane, choose the first tab, click on the list
arrow next to the last item and choose by letter. Click OK.
That should do it.

Another option is to use the TextBox control (AB) from the Control Toolbox
(one of the listed toolbars). There you can draw a textbox that you can
physically type into during slide show. You will also need to have some
sort of "Search" button on the slide that has an Action Setting to go to the
"Next" slide. This way you are actually typing the text. If you really
wanted to get fancy and learn VBA, you could have some code behind the
"Search" button that took you to a particular slide based on what the value
of the textbox was. Takes a little more time to learn it, but will
certainly WOW your audience.

If interested, holler back and someone here will post some relevant code
samples.
