How do I email master project with embedded projects?

I am running Project 2002. How do I email a master project file, that has
embedded projects (other project files) in it, to a receipient? When the
other party receives my master project file and tries to open the
sub-projects it asks them for the linked file(s). Is there a way to save my
master project plan as one file vice sending my master file with a half a
dozen other project files too?

Thanks in advance ... Steve

Steve,

Do you need to send the information in an MSP (i.e., *.mpp) file, or would
it suffice to PDF and send the file? The problem is that there are hard links
between the sub-plan files and the master if you "Inserted" them into the
"Master" file. I usually zip the files together when sending, and try to keep
all of the files that are linked in a single folder just for this purpose,
that way you can then unzip them in a single folder and the links will not
cause you to search for the sub-plans.

Hope this helps! :)

Steve,

I'm not sure if this will work on Project 2002 as I am using 2003. When you
insert the subprojects into the master project:
Insert, Project, (choose the project you want to insert), then uncheck 'Link
to project'.
Save the master project and send it by email. Hopefully this will work and
is what you want!

WSH,

Thank you - that option is available in 2002. Haven't tried it yet, but
that is what I was looking for :)

Don,

I already knew about that option - but thanks for the reply nonetheless.
I think WSH's solution is more along the lines of what I was looking for
(although I haven't tried it out yet).

Thanks once again ... Steve
