How do I enable a macro

I recorded a macro in word. When I run it, the pop-up message
tells me the macro is not enabled. I have also come out of word and tried
again. Can anyone tell me how to enable the macro?

Check Options/Security and set security level to Low.

I would not recommend setting Security to Low under any circumstances. Set
it to Medium, and you will get prompted as to whether the macros in the
template should be enabled.
