How do I fix login problem?

I really hate beating this to death, but I've read postings and followed all
the 'fixes' but my login still keeps popping up. I've tripled checked all
settings, turned off the mail virus scanner, asked yahoo, norton, avg, and
now I hope someone out there doesn't think I'm an idiot and can help me.

What version of Outlook? What is the exact error message? What type of
mail account? What troubleshooting advice have you already followed? Did
you already remove and reinstall your email account? What happens when you
test account settings?
