how do i get a new license to reuse microsoft office xp?

I got a new computer and want to install Office XP on to it. It was
installed on my old one, and the operator told me to get a new license. How
do I go about getting the license to reuse microsoft office xp?

I think what the operator was telling you is that if Office was preinstalled
on your old computer and you now have a new computer, the only way to get
Office on it is to buy Office. You might still be able to find a copy of
Office XP around somewhere but Office 2003 is the current version.
