How do I get my curser on a contact when opening contact?

When I open a contact folder, I need to highlite a contact before beginning a
search. I would like to begin my search immediately upon entering a contact
folder.

beginning a search. I would like to begin my search immediately upon
entering a contact folder.

I don't remember the condition that causes Outlook to not select the first
entry in a folder when you open it, but it should be in either
microsoft.public.outlook or m.p.o.general. Google Groups should enable you
to find it.
