How do I get notified of next task in project

I use MS Project 2003 to track tasks which are typically short in duration
(e.g. minutes), and also have multiple dependant paths. Whenever a task is
marked as 100% completed, it would be helpful to have some mechanism such as
pop-up window/messages to show which successor task(s) can start. Is this
functionality available within MS Project as an add-in already or are there
any macros available which would accomodate this?

Hello Dedgar,
A VBA procedure could do that. But several views in Project are showing the
successors of any task. They are easy to use.
For example, have a look at the Relationship Diagram : View / More views...
