How do I get rid of a pchnotify.exe message on startup?

When I startup my computer I get a message pchnotify .exe has encountered a
problem and needs to close. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I have followe the site and the fix it gave me did not work. Please could
someone help.

This is not related to MicroSoft Office.
You followed *what* site?
This pertains to HP and Compaq Desktop PCs with Windows XP Operating System.
You need to try support at whichever is your computer mfr.
