How do I get slide preview feature?

I recently saw a version of powerpoint that had a view
that allowed me to preview slides before they went to the
overhead. This was on a MAC, but I am trying to determine
if this feature exist on the PC, and if not, when it
might be available.

My concern is that it might be a feature enabled by MAC's
OS and that it might be difficult to implement for the PC
platform.

On the laptop monitor, we saw the preview mode, but the
overhead projector got the typical slideshow view.

In PowerPoint 2002 and 2003 you can set up the Slide Show to "Show Presenter
View", which is probably what you saw. What version of PowerPoint do you have?
