How do I get video and sound to work when I transfer a file to an.

I have a presentation that we use for new hires. On my machine where the
file was made there are some video and audio clips that are in the
presentation. When I transfer the file to another machine via CD or network
the presentation works except for the video and the audio. I also loaded all
the video and audio files onto the CD and the harddrive of the other machine
but it won't work. What am I missing and how do I get this to work. Thanks.

When you inserted the files, they probably weren't in the same folder as the
presentation. Move them there now. Then delete the video and audio and
reinsert them. That will make the links relative to the location of the
presentation. See the following:

Sounds/Movies don't play, images disappear or links break when I move or email a
presentation

Zues,

Just a guess, but when I tried running audio files in one of my shows, they
would not work if they were not a .wav file. My problem was with a midi file,
that would not play for me. From PowerPoint I copied the sound to my desktop,
played it in Media Player and saved it with a new name with "Save file Type:
Any file". Maybe something like this can work for you. Or maybe the other
machine needs to have this done with your video and audio to recognize it as
playable files.

Good Luck
