how do i go about copying files onto cd with windows 2000?

i'm using windows 2000 and i heard that windows 2000 doesn't have the
capability to copy files onto a cd. i want to store pictures onto a cd but i
need a program for that. is there a free program i can download for me to do
this?

You will need a CD drive capable of burning/writing CD's. The program
that is supplied with the CD-burner will work just fine.
