How do I highlight non-working hours in the web access My Tasks view?

I wanted to have the weekends highlighted in the web access My Tasks
view. Currently I see the days with a date format e.g. 11.07. and all
columns in white. Therefore I have no indicator about non-working days.
Is there any possibility to customize the web access views to highlight
columns or change the date format to maybe "Tu 11.07"?
I haven't found something in the manage views administration or in any
other global settings.

Thanks for you ideas

In the future, please post your Project Server questions to the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is devoted to
the Microsoft Project desktop application only. To answer your question,
you cannot format weekends in a different color on the PWA timesheet.
However, you can add the day of the week to the date in each column header
by completing the following steps:

1. Log into PWA with administrator permissions
2. Click Admin - Customize Project Web Access
3. In the "Time periods settings" section, set the "Number of weeks
spanned" value to 1 week
4. Click the Save Changes button

Hope this helps.

Hi Dale,

thanks for your help so far.
I'm not able to find a "Number of weeks spanned" setting under the
"Time periods settings". Maybe it's because of the version. I'm using
Microsoft Office Project Server 2003, can I find it there somewhere
else?

Cheers Folker

In the Time Period Settings section of the page, you need to select the
Weekly option, and then pick 1 week. It sounds like you have the monthly
option specified, which in this case would prevent you from doing my
solution, and would not allow your team members to see the day of the week
along with the date on their timesheets in PWA. Hope this helps.

Hi Dale,

thanks it works now. The problem was that the
"Managed Periods - Allow only Project Web Access users to update
actuals during open periods."
setting was checked and therefore a totally different menu appeared.

Cheers
