How do I import a group of recurring tasks in Project?

Recurring Task Import

I am trying to use Microsoft Project to setup a maintenace schedule. I can
successfully import tasks and resources but not recurring tasks. Is there a
way to do this?

I don't think there is a simple way to do it. The recurring task wizard does
a lot of work. It creates a summary task and all the subtasks below it. A
simple import would not be able to do this. You would need some VBA
programming to make it work. With VBA it is certainly possible, but Project
is meant for scheduling projects, not really for routine operations. You
might be better off with Excel or a calendar program.

I have multiple projects in my workflow that contain the (same) recurring
tasks (albeit different durations). I copy and paste from the project above.
The only problem is getting the shared resources and precedences to "delay"
appropriately.
