How do I include user-defined fields in an contact file export?

Have created 5 new user-defined fields for information in a new contact
folder, but am unable to get this information to appear when exporting the
entire folder to Excel.
These fields are visible and active in each contact card under the All
Fields tab, but do not show up on the right hand column when it comes to
custom mapping function.
Appreciate any and all help. Thanks.
