How do I insert dotted lines in a drawing using Word

C

Catherine

I am trying to insert dotted lines (both horizontally and vertically) into a
diagram in a word document which will then 'join' 4 circles. Any ideas how I
do this?

If you're really wanting to "join" four circles, you'd be better off using
"connectors" rather than lines (they'll stay connected even if you move the
circles). In recent versions, you must create a drawing canvas in order to
use connectors. Whether you use connectors or lines, draw them first, then
click the Dash Style button and change the style to a dotted one.
