how do I insert text on a avi file without the text disappearing .

I inserted an avi file into the powerpoint and added a text box to have the
text displayed when I run the powerpoint. But when I run the avi file, the
text disappeared. Can anyone help?

It all depends on how it is worded - a suing (and) animated GIF is not the
same as a suing (animated GIF).

And the dictionary finds no instance of the word "suing".

You might want to clarify if you misspelled it intentionally or by
oversight.

Geetesh,

It was the mis-spelling of "using". And suing is spelt right according to
the Macquarie Dictionary (1985):

"Suing"... to institute legal proceedings.

So suing an animated gif is to institute legal proceedings against the said
animated gif. Hence the humour. Perhaps no-one follows my humour because
no-one knows Aussie as she is spoke <g>?
