How do I install Office 97 with Office XP already on my computer?

My home computer was purchased with Microsoft Office XP already installed. I
find that I need to install Office 97, so I can work from home (my company is
still running Office 97). Is this possible to do? If so, how?

Thanks.

If you have Office XP already installed, then you do not need
to install Office 97. Documents and files created in either
Office version will open with either version.

I don't think it's possible. Even if it were possible, I
would be very reluctant to do something like that. In the
event there's a better solution:

Tools > Options > Save > Save Word files as Word document
(*.doc) > [x] Disable features introduced after Microsoft
Word 97

Ron, you probably already know more than I do, but just in case you
don't....with my Windows XP, I just received the Works Suite 2002 that has
Word in it. I needed Excel so I installed Office 97 and just chose the
features I needed. I'm not sure how this would work if you had both Word
programs on your computer though.

For the complete office suite, using two versions, you have to install the
earliest version first, to a version specific folder, amend any shortcuts to
be version specific, update, prior to installing later version.
