How do I keep people from responding to e mail

I would like to send an "information only" e mail to a group of people. I do
not want them to reply to the message. How do I do this?

There's no way for you to control that without shackling their hands. You
can, however, supply a sender address that would direct the replies to an
unmonitored mailbox. Create a free Yahoo mail account and supply that address
as the sender address. When they reply, the message will go there. Just log
on periodically and delete the replies. I'd say never log in again, but Yahoo
deletes inactive accounts after a period of time.

What type of email account do you have? Tell them no replies and set the
reply to address to an unmonitored account.

Oh, you want to SPAM them and not get retaliatory responses. Uh huh.

CAN-SPAM law mandates that a valid e-mail address be supplied in your
e-mails. Just how are those recipients going to opt-out of your, ahem,
"informational" e-mails?

Exactly why I suggested an unmonitored address. It's conforms to the law, in
that it's a valid address. The law doesn't require one to actually pay
attention to replies.

There are several legitimate business reason for scenarios such as this. . .
I.E. A CEO wanting to send an email to all employees in the company and does
not want to be bothered with thousands of replies.

In situations such as this, I have helped the CEO create the email noting
"Replies to this email will be automatically archived". The email has a very
specific subject line and then a rule is created to automatically reply to
anyone who responded to the email thanking them for their responses, but it
will not be read by the CEO.
