How do I load PowerPoint 2000 on a new Windows XP prof computer?

PP 2000 on XP

Each time I try to load "custom" powerpoint 2000 from my 2000 office
professional disk, I receive an error message 1305 stating "verify that the
file exists and that you can access it. Generally it is a FONT file TTF or a
DLL file. I can generally find the file in question a differenct sub
directory and then I copy it to the sub-directory requested. I have done
this repeatedly for about 4 or 5 files, but am wondering how long I am going
to have to do this, as each time I have to do an-uninstall, copy the required
file, and start a new install. Is there a list of files that powerpoint
wants that are not in the location that XP puts them? Is there a different
process, I should be doing?

Thanks but the drive works great, and the install program runs for about 75%
of the program and then stops when it is missing access to the particular
file.
