how do I make action buttons dissapear once used?

I am using the powerpoint program and would like to put several buttons on
one slide. Once I use the action button to go to the designated slide it
will go back to the original slide and I would like to have the used button
disapear, only leaving the remaining buttons. Can this be done or do I Just
have to cross out the button with the pin after it is used?
