How do I make backspace key to delete a list (bullet points)

I installed office 2007, while using word and I make a list like bullet
points, and I try to backspace and delete that line, I am unable to delete
the bullet point using backspace or the enter key.

You can press Ctrl+Shift+N to apply the Normal style. That will clear the
list formatting from the selected paragraph(s).
