how do i migrate office 2003 from my old computer to my new compu.

I have office 2003 on my old computer for the last 3 years, I no longer have
the box, manual or key from when I purchased it. I was working for a compnay
at the time as an independent contractor. When I moved out of that company, I
moved my business to my house. Now I have purchased a new computer and it
came with Office 2003. I moved all my files and contacts over, but I do not
have the key. How can I get the key code off my old computer to insert into
the new one? I don't want to pay for a whole new program that I already have.

If your new computer comes with Office 2003, then it should come
with its own Office 2003 product key too.

If Office 2003 is currently installed on the old computer, then
the product key used to install the software is stored in the
Windows registry on the old computer, and you should be able to

used it activate Office 2003. Is there a way of contacting Microsoft to get
the original key code or would I be bettter off just searching the registry
of the old computer for the key code?
