How do I move a row in a table up or down?

I'm a new convert from a PC -- in the Windows version of Word, you can
switch rows in the table by holding down the Shift and Alt keys while
using an arrow key to move a row up and down. I've tried all kinds of
combinations on the Mac,and haven't been able to find a shortcut that
works. Help!

Does crtl-shift up and down do what you want?

Or moving your mouse (Elliott wouldn't know that -- he never uses one ;-)))
to the left margin so it changes into an arrow; clicking once; and dragging
the row?

Um, thanks Elliott; I never knew the Ctrl-Shift-arrow up/down trick...

That mouse thing got me. I tried to record a macro to swap rows, but it
would not record the mouse push.

The truth Clive, is: Neither did I. It looked like an interesting
challenge.
It's amazing how many undocumented features exist in Word.
I wish I'd documented all the keyboard shortcuts I've made over the
years. Also I should have documented why I thought a particular
shortcut had any mnemonic significance and why can't I remember them
all.
