I love Publisher however I would never recommend a resume in Publisher
format. Most places will not be able to read it. I'm looking for a job now
myself and I have yet to see an employee that says they will accept a .pub
file. All I see are requests for .doc or .txt files. Anything else is
useless to them.

Thanks for the info. For future work in publisher I would still like to know
if there is any tool in publisher to help protect a publisher document.

I can't help you there - never had to do it. If I had a Publisher file that
I didn't want others to be able to edit, I would not give them the .pub
file, they'd get a .pdf. And even that could be changed/recreated if someone
really wanted to. :-(

Best way would to put the résumé in a zip and encrypt it, for goodness sake
don't forget your password.

I usually just create a pdf. and forward to individuals or for printing
etc. Very few people have anything other than a pdf. reader so they
arean't able to edit your pdf. Also you can prtect pdf's.!
