How do I password protect folders on a shared drive?

I'm looking to password protect an entire folder which contains Word, Excel
and Adobe Acrobat files. Is there anyway I can protect the entire folder
instead of opening each document individually and protecting it that way?

Not with Office. You could use the security options provided by the
operating system, or put all the files into one passworded ZIP
file/folder or search the internet for some 3rd party software that
performs that function.
