Ray

I have purchased a new laptop and wish to take all my software across to it
before decommissioning my old one but cannot find out how to do this in
Project. I am reluctant to just unisnstall since this may mean paying again
for the software license.

Please could someone advise.

ou will have this problem with all your installed software. If you have the
original media, you may re-install with no charge.

There is ssoftware available that will allow you to migrate your entire disk
image over so everything comes along. Talk to someone where you purchased
the new PC.

Jim,

Thansk for the prompt answer, I should have mentioned that I bought via a
download direct from Microsoft and even paid extra for the 'License Lock Box'
knowing that I planned to change my Laptop in the near future. Unfortunately
I cannot find out how to safelt take it off my exisiting laptop and put inot
onto the new one.

Any pointers would be most useful.

I had the same problem. I went to the Microsoft.com home page and asked to
download the trial version. It then had me sign in and brought up the invoice
where I had already paid for this - after clicking on the order number it
brings up a new download page. I downloaded and activated. Took no time at
all. Although I have in the past used programs that will remove from one
computer and install into another successfully I didn't want to outlay more
money.
