How do I Preview Print documents in colorin Windows Professional 2

I have never seen this before; when I go to the Print Preview, the documents
all come out in grays/ blacks and whites.

I assume you are using Pub 2007 and that you probably have an HP printer.
It's a known bug. What you can do is to select another printer (even
something like PrimoPDF) as your default printer then preview your file.

JoAnn, Where have you seen the article that addresses this "known" bug?
Publisher 2007 will show black and white if all you have is a black and white
printer. I have both and I have no problems previewing color documents if my
color printer is selected. All my current printers are HP. Can you tell me where
to find this article?

I submitted that bug to Microsoft myself. Not all HP printers will have that
effect. I have two - one is fine, the other isn't. Look on the bugs
submission site.

Where did JoAnn say she had seen an article?

I also raised this issue with the Publisher team. Some HP drivers (for
COLOUR printers) for some reason report that they are black-and-white,
so Publisher happily obeys and displays a black-and-white preview. They
claim there is nothing they can do about this.

I will see if something can be done about getting a KB article.

I have reported so many bugs that have no workarounds, whereas this bug has, so
the usual practice is to create a Knowledge Base article explaining the
solution.

JoAnn has said often that this is a known bug, I assume she had a reference.

I do in that I submitted it and have discussed it with the product
development team.
