How do I print a postcard on a pre-stamped postcard?

Setup your page as a postcard, just be sure you feed the stock correctly when
you print.

Mary, I'm not sure what "merge" means. I'm just trying to print notices of a
move on pre-stamped postcards, but when I go to the print options, the only
choice comparable in size is a small envelope (i.e. no postcard choice) on
the Dell printer. I printed one card, but it was off-center, and only a
quarter of it was readable. Now everytime I try another, I get the message
"no paper in printer" eventhough there is a card in the manual envelope feed.

Are you running the latest drivers from Dell?

Is there a Custom page size option?

I printed one card,
but it was off-center, and only a quarter of it was readable.

That's because Publisher was told that the paper size was not what it
actually was (it probably thought it was Letter or A4 size), and so set up
the page to print in the middle of the larger page.

Now
everytime I try another, I get the message "no paper in printer"
eventhough there is a card in the manual envelope feed.

That's probably because your printer is looking for A4 or Letter-sized
paper, of which it has none. Or possibly there's a paper jam.

This is a brand-new Dell computer and printer, so I assume I'm running the
latest drivers from Dell. As for custom page options, I don't see any. My
choices run from Legal/Letter to A4/B5 to envelopes.

I take that back about the "custom page options." In "page setup" I have
entered 5.5" x 3.5" as my "custom" size, and in "printer and paper" the
closest paper size I see is "envelope 7 3/4" for "size," and for "source," I
have chosen "man. envelope" with "orientation" set on "landscape."

No, you are not.

Please feel free to read an old response of mine (copied and pasted from
Google Groups).

The computer is mass-produced on a production line. The hard drive is
filled with data from a master disk, and that master disk does not change
often. Every time it changes, they have to go through a long testing
procedure to make sure it works - which they don't like to do very often.
They cannot afford the time or money to change it every time a new driver
comes out (each piece of hardware in the system has a driver, and new ones
are being developed all the time).
Also, even if they did this, if a new driver were released after the machine
left the factory but before you bought it, (which, given the amount of time
the machine will sit on a shelf before you buy it, is quite likely), you
would not have the latest drivers on your brand new machine.

As for custom page options, I
don't see any. My choices run from Legal/Letter to A4/B5 to
envelopes.

Look for newer drivers for your printer.
