How do I print in white on self colored paper?

I am trying to print in white text on self colored (gray) paper. The
application thinks the paper is white so does not print anything.
How can I change the default paper color from white to another color?

===========================
You don't have any white ink in an inkjet so
the only way to have white text is to 'print'
a darker background....then the white text
will just be the white paper showing through
the dark background.

To change the background color......go to...
Format / Background...on the toolbar and
pick a color.

Also...you can choose the Text option and
drag a text box any size you want....then go
to...Fill Color on the taskbar and choose a
color.

If you create a textbox on a darker background
with white text it will work when you print it.
