How do I print white text on colored paper in Word?

I thought I would just be able to change the font color to white and print on
colored paper but that does not seem to work. Am I supposed to buy a white
ink cartridge? Any suggestions?

You will certainly need a white cartridge to print white, if there is one
available for your printer.
