How do I produce an attractive Newsletter?

I

ignarus

I want to produce a more attractive local Newsletter for my branch of Living
Streets (the Pedestrians Association), with boxes, graphics eg photos,
sketches. So far I haven't found a template, though one is said to exist on
word. Any thoughts?

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/results.aspx?Scope=TC&Query=newsletter
you can find newsletter templates.

To produce a more design flexible and graphical newsletter then you might
want to try a DTP program such as Publisher or Serif PagePlus.

Try it then you'll buy it. There are some who quit Publisher or use it very
little now that moved to PagePlus

Nope - sometimes you have to use what you're comfortable with if it suits
your needs.

Familiarity breeds contempt.. every program has a learning curve, and for
someone of your calibre, PagePlus would be a breeze.. that said, it is not
for anybody to dictate what another should use..

The full PagePlus is a very capable DTP, based heavily on the much renowned
PageMaker.. it has capabilities beyond Publisher, but does have different
conventions to MSP.. :)

The one thing that frustrates the hell out of me is that DTP's always save
in some arcane format that is unrecognisable by anything else.. to some
degree, this is attributable to the different conventions used, but hey..
enough is enough already..
