How do I put a 'draft' watermark across the page in Project?

I want to make it clear that the tasks after 2008 are really just
'illustrative' whereas the immediate tasks are more definite. In Excel you
can insert word art and make it transparent, in Word you can put a watermark
in the background. How do you something like this in Project?

Hello leopoldjk,

No, not directly. I think the best work around I've heard is to print
the paper using the watermark feature in word and then over print the
project schedule. I'd consider putting a comment in the footer or
legend as well that dates after 2008 are subject to change.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Not possible in Project. The best solution I have seen online is to make
some pages in Word with watermarks on them and print. Then run it through
the printer again and print the desired pages from Project.

You can also do something like this (no watermark though). For the tasks
that are in the out years, create a summary task called "PLANNING
PACKAGES"and indent things under there. However, that will ruin your WBS if
you ever change the indenture level or eliminate the PLANNING PACKAGE task
line and promote everyone else.

Also, try using "Planning Packing" on the task line:

Hello

The responses you have had so far are absolutely correct there is no
"Formal" way of adding a watermark into a project plan. However there is a
way you can do it in an ad hoc way and that is by adding a picture to the
Gantt Portion of the plan from MS Word. Unfortunately I cannot paste the
example here. If you give me your email I can send you an example picture.

Kind regards

Here's another approach: on printing your project schedule, find in the
printers properties of adding a DRAFT Watermark while printing. There may be
a tab somewhere in the area of printing duplex etc...

Mike
