I am trying to write a recipient's name, but the name has an "n" with a tilde
over it. How do I make this?

Alt+0241 is ñ, and Alt+0209 is Ñ. Hold down the Alt key, and from the
numeric keypad (not the top row of number keys on the keyboard), type 0241 or
0209, then release the Alt key.

There's usually some arcane trick to doing this on a laptop that doesn't
have a
numeric keypad; on my Tosh, you hold down Fn+Alt while typing the magic
numbers
on the "embedded" numeric pad.

Steve, that's MAGIC! Thanks for that trick, I appreciate it very much! (It
works on my Fujitsu Siemens laptop, too.)

Kind regards,
Ute

Hello,

Probably the easiest way to do this (PowerPoint 97 and later) is to use the
Insert -> Symbol... command.
