I am setting a psalm text for "Anglican Chant".
I need to place an umlaut (¨) over a consonant.
I also need to put a bracket ( l¯¯¯l) over part of, or over a complete word.
How does one do this?

Many thanx,

G'Day Suzanne,
Many thanx, however, I was not able to find my answer at the link's location.
! The Umlaut (¨) need to go over the consonant "r". (and other consonants)
The Bracket (l¯¯¯l) needs to go over an entire word, or group of words. Not
just one letter. I will re-read the info @ the link, however. Perhaps, I
might've missed something.

Cheers,

It sounds as if your bracket would be the EQ \x (box) field using the left,
top, and right sides only. You can put this over as many letters as you
like; they just all have to be included in the field. You can use EQ \o to
put an umlaut (glyph 00A8 from Insert | Symbol) over any letter.
