how do i recover the bakground option that i lost from my display.

i need ome help with this please, i dont kow what happened and now i have a
arning background and when I tried to changed it againto a normal background
I went to the display properties and i didnt have that option, i mean i have
the screen saver and the rest except the background please help me to resolve
this fast.. thanks
