how do I repeat text within the same document

I am creating a template and what I would like to do is take the name from
the address line on my document and have it put that name in my header on
subsequent pages. I have tried to bookmark and then insert ref and cannot
get it to work. Any feedback is very much appreciated.

That's the correct method. It should be working. Are you updating the REF
fields after creating them? To update a field, select it and press F9.

Another way to insert the reference to a bookmark is using Insert -
Reference - Cross Reference, set Reference Type to Bookmark, select the
bookmark, etc.
