how do I save information to a CD-R disk

I am trying to save to a CD-r disk and I am unable to to it. I know how to
save to a floppy disk. I have never done this for text information. I have
save music to a disk.

Dear User ,
If u r using MS Windows XP ,
1)Save the file on desktop,
2)Copy the file
3)Put a blank CD in the CD-RW Drive
4)Open My Coputer > CD-RW Drive > Right Click and click "Write these file to
CD"
5)Put a floppy in A Drive
6)Open A Drive and paste
If u r using Win 98,
U can take help of any CD Burner and write the file to Cd.
