How do I save to a pps file from a .ppt extension.

Barb

I have saved a project in Microsoft Power Point but the only options it gives
me is .ppt. I want to save it as a .pps file. How do I do that? I am using
the 2003 version of Office.

Thanks in advance,

Go to File/Save as, and in the dropdown box where it says "save as file
type," choose PowerPoint Show (.PPS)

I did that but it doesn't give me that option. All the options it gives me
to save in are all .ppt. When I click on the file it says it saved it as a
PowerPoint Presentation. Am I missing something within Office or did I do
something wrong when I made the project?

I clicked on Microsoft Office then clicked on then on Microsoft Power Point
and put my project in there.

Thanks

Are you clicking on the arrowhead on the right side of the "Save as Type" box to
see the full list of possible ways that you can save a presentation? As in many
Windows applications, many dialog boxes have multiple options that don't appear
unless you expand the box to see the full list.

I clicked the down arrow and all I get are .ppt options and web options.
There is nothing in there about .pps. I'm going to put my office cd in the
drive to see if I've missed anything.

Thanks a bunch.

Thank you Steve. That worked. I tried that before but was scared to do it
as it said that the project might not work if you change the extension.

Thanks again.
