How do I set grammar style check to technical in Word 2003?

I am only able to see Grammar only and Grammar and Style options in the drop
down box. In previous versions of Word, there were other options such as
technical, formal.... Am I missing something or is MS making things more
difficult?

I can confirm that. The two choices in the list represent a group of
"Grammar" and "Style" settings. If you click the Settings... button, you
will see that choosing one or the other of these will result in either the
Grammar boxes or both Grammar and Style boxes being checked. You can,
however, specify the exact grammatical or style issues you want checked.
Obviously, some of the style issues would be different in "technical" vs.
"formal" vs. "informal" writing, but you get to decide which are important
to you.

Thanks for your concise and timely feedback on the issue. This resolved the
question. Apparently some textbook training materials have not caught up
with this change. I detected it in Word 2002 as well.

It does cause newbie students to think what makes up "technical" and
"formal" writing styles versus just (previously) checking a box. Many of
these students haven't had the initial COMM courses to make this decision at
this time....
