How do I set the timing in Power Point?

I need to set the timing so that each slide will have the text box and
pictures appear in proper order and at a certain pace. How do I do this with
Office 2003?

If you want to build up every slide with a self timed setting, go to slide
sorter view and click on the try-out button, you can easily recognize it as
it has a little clock on it, click the next arrow for every item, say yes
when asked if you want to save the timings.
Now start your presentation and everything should go automatic.
If you want the show to repeat itself automatically go to Slide show -
set-up show and check repeat until escape. Right next to it you can always
choose revert to progressing the show by hand by hitting the appropriate
radio button without losing your timings.

If you are talking about individual elements within the slides, you need to
change the order of the animations using the Custom Animations task pane.
Bring up the task pane (Slide Show--> Custom Animations is one way to do
that), then click and drag the animations so that they end up in the order
you want.

If your text is in placeholders and only the placeholder animation shows,
click the bar with the double arrow that is below the animation. This will
expand the group of animations so that you can bring your graphics in at the
same time as the related text.

Post back and let us know if that helped!
