How do I shut off the "auto-formating" functions?

B

Bexley

I'm using a type-writer font. This means I need constant sized and spaced text.

However:

When I type "--" word reformats it to a single long dash. When I type "..." it
reformats it to three "compressed dots.

How do I shut this off?

Thanks for your help.

Click on: Tools | Autocorrect Options | Autoformat As You Type |
uncheck the items you don't want Word to change by itself | Autocorrect
| scroll down the list of autocorrect entries to "...", select it, and
delete it.
