How do I stop the "User Name" prompt?

Hey Everyone,

Every morning when I start any Office 2007 application, I am prompted for my
name and initials. If I log out of the system, I get prompted again.

Is there a way to set these values for good?

Thanks in advance - Jonathan

What you are encountering is an indication that you don't have sufficient
permissions to update the Office branch in the Registry. You may want to
contact your admin and see if your permissions can be changed. Here's what
you need Full Control over:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Common\UserInfo

I'd ask for Full Control over the entire Office branch if I were you.
Otherwise you aren't able to save any of your personal preferences in the
Office apps.

Thanks Beth. I can't believe it only took a post here to get the answer.
The folks in Support ran me around and tried to bill me $400 odd dollars for
the answer.

Best,

Jonathan
