How do I stop toolbars jumping back into old position?

When I open an Office app, I generally have to move the toolbars to get them
to line up correctly (I have an additional Adobe toolbar which seems to throw
the standard ones all out of line). But then, the next time I go back into
the app, the toolbars have jumped back to their original positiona again.
Does anyone know of a way to save my changes to the toolbar position?

Thanks.

Add-in toolbars have a notorious side effect of causing toolbar placement to
go jiggly. It is a problem that the add-in programmers must address.
