How do I stop Word 2003 inserting spaces when I paste text direct.

How do I stop Word 2003 inserting spaces when I paste text directly next to
other text?

I've switched off all the Autocorrect As You Type and Replace Text As You
Type options, and can't find anywhere else to *stop the machine*!

Have a look at Tools > Options > Edit > Smart cut and paste - I think you
need to turn this off, or turn off the 'Adjust sentence and word spacing'
setting.
