How do I strip out/hide user info in a word doc?

I have a quick question for a silly reason!

I'm looking for a new job these days and I end up sending my resume and
cover letters and such to prospective employers via email as attachments.

I notice that if I have one of them loaded in word XP (sp2 I think?),
and go to file and properties then whoever I send them to can see a
couple of things I'd rather not let them see...

such as how long in minutes I've slaved over a 1 page resume. Also how
many revisions I've made and exactly when I created the file in the
first place (this could be months ago for somethings)

I've found a way around this by going to save as and giving it a new
file name before I email it on, but is there a way I can get Office XP
to leave all that info blank by default?

If not is there a shareware or similar program that will strip out this
info from the file instead?

thank you in advance,
jason

Someone popped up with a handy tip recently - start the script editor (tools
macro > script editor) and edit out (or change) the information you don't
want viewed from the document properties :)
