How do I suppress a header or footer on the first page, but show .

I want to use header text on pages other than the first page in the document.
This is easily done when I use WordPerfect - no please don't suggest I stay
with WP.

Click on File | Page Setup | Layout | check the "Different first page" box |
OK. Then click somewhere on page 2, click on View | Header and Footer, type
the text you want into the header and/or footer, and click on Close.
