How do I transfer MS Office XP from old PC to new one?

Take installation disks, install on new computer. Remove from old. When
you open an Office document on the new computer, you will be asked to
activate. If the INternet method does not work, select Telephone method,
select your country and call.

You see that nice big white space, under the thin white space that you've
just typed in? It's where you type the *DETAILS*. Messages without bodies
have a tendency to be removed (not by MS, but by many ISPs).

You can transfer Office only if it's retail- OEM cannot be transferred as
it's tied to the system it was sold with (or the first system it was
installed and activated on in the case of a generic retail OEM sold with an
item of non-peripheral hardware).

If retail, you simply insert the disc into the new system and install - you
may be required to activate by phone, however. I fail to see the problem.
