How do I transfer old Outlook files from a CD to Outlook 2007?

My husband gave me a CD disk that has e-mail files from an older Outlook
software. He would like to access those files without corrupting the disk (I
got a warning that the files may be corrupted if I tried to download them).
I'm very new to the Windows Vista and don't know where to find the
information to figure it out on my own. Can you help?

Corrupt the CD? That won't happen.
Not sure what you mean by "e-mail files." If you have a valid Outlook data
file, it will have a PST extension. Simply copy it from the CD to your hard
drive, remove it's read only attribute, then open it in Outlook (File > Open
