How do I turn off a Windows Installer update to Office?

I am having an irksome problem wherein Windows Installer repeatedly asks for
the necessary disk to update whenever I boot up the computer. The reason it
is doing this is because I viewed a foreign language Word document which
needed the necessary upgrade but even though I (thought) I cancelled the
request I continue to receive notices on start up asking me to insert the
necessary disk. No problem, just insert the Office disk, right? Well the
software came pre-installed on my computer, so I have no disk. Anyway my
question is this: How can I turn off this annoying Windows Installer prompt?
I was thinking of uninstalling Windows Installer and then re-installing it,
but I don't know if this will do the trick and wasn't sure if there were
other options available?

Any suggestions applicable to this problem are much appreciated.

Regards,

Jonathan
