How do I zoom in on a portion of a photo and keep aspect ratio

I want to crop a photo to zoom in on a portion. Then I want to maintain the
aspect ration so that I can keep the photo the correct size to fit the paper.

How can this be done? Also, when I do it, is ther a box that will show up to
allow you to move it up or down on the photo while still maintinag the aspect
ratio similar to when you use a photo Kiosk at a Wal-mart?

The following free program has an
excellent crop tool. I would suggest
using it to prepare your image and
then reinsert it into your Publisher
project.

You should do this in an imaging program. Keep in mind that if you
resize the image, you will also be changing the resolution. If the
original is 72 dpi (or ppi) and you crop 50 percent of it, then resize
it to fit the original space, it will now be 36 dpi.
